Negative impacts of poorly fastened elastic clips on track stability:
Changes in track geometric dimensions Loose elastic clips will weaken the longitudinal and lateral constraints on the rails, easily leading to geometric dimension changes such as widened gauge and uneven horizontal alignment. This not only affects the running smoothness of trains but may also cause serious safety accidents such as train derailment.
Reduced integrity of track structure Poorly fastened elastic clips make the connection between the various components of the track structure not tight, reducing the integrity. Under the action of train dynamic loads, it is easy to cause problems such as loosening of fasteners and damage to sleepers, further weakening the stability of the track.
Insufficient resistance to lateral forces Loose elastic clips cannot provide sufficient lateral resistance. When trains are subjected to lateral forces, the rails are prone to lateral displacement and even overturning, seriously affecting the safety of the track.
Increased track vibration and noise Loose elastic clips will aggravate the vibration of the track system and generate greater noise. This not only affects the comfort of passengers but may also have adverse effects on buildings and residents near the track.
