Material Quality Elastic clips made of high-quality materials such as spring steel have higher strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance, and thus have a relatively longer service life. While elastic clips of inferior materials may experience fatigue, deformation, or corrosion in a short period of time, reducing their service life.
Train Load The greater the train load running on the track, the greater the pressure and impact force borne by the elastic clip, which will accelerate the fatigue and damage of the elastic clip and shorten its service life. For example, the service life of elastic clips on heavy haul railways may be shorter than that on ordinary railways.
Running Speed High-speed running trains will generate greater vibration and impact on the track, which will also affect the service life of the elastic clip. Generally speaking, elastic clips on high-speed railways need to have better elasticity and shock absorption performance to meet the challenges brought by high-speed operation.
Environmental Conditions The environmental conditions of the track, such as climate, temperature, humidity, and corrosiveness, also have an important impact on the service life of the elastic clip. In a humid and highly corrosive environment, the elastic clip is prone to rust and corrosion, reducing its strength and elasticity and thus shortening its service life.
Maintenance Regular inspection, maintenance, and replacement of elastic clips can extend their service life. If there is a lack of effective maintenance, problems with the elastic clip may occur during use and cannot be found and dealt with in time, resulting in a shortened service life.
