There are mainly the following common types of railway fastener elastic bars:
I. W-type elastic bar
Characteristics:
The appearance is in the shape of “W” and is made of special spring steel. It has high elasticity and clamping pressure, and can tightly clamp the rail to ensure the stability of the rail during train operation.
It has strong fatigue resistance and can withstand frequent train load impacts without being easily damaged.
It is easy to install and cooperates well with other components of the fastener system.
Application scenarios:
Widely used in important railway lines such as high-speed railways and ordinary trunk railways, especially in sections with high requirements for track smoothness and stability.
II. E-type elastic bar
Characteristics:
The shape is similar to the letter “E” and the design is unique. Its clamping pressure is moderate, which can fix the rail while reducing damage to the sleeper.
It has good insulation performance and can effectively prevent the conduction of current between the track and the fastener, reducing electromagnetic interference in electrified railways.
The material is excellent, corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant, and has a long service life.
Application scenarios:
Often used in urban rail transit, industrial and mining railways and other lines. In some places with relatively harsh environments and difficult maintenance, the reliability of E-type elastic bars is fully reflected.
III. Elastic shim and clamp plate
Characteristics:
It is composed of metal shims and clamp plates. The shim has certain elasticity and can adapt to the thermal expansion and contraction of the rail through deformation to reduce track stress.
The clamp plate is closely connected to the sleeper to ensure the overall stability of the fastener system.
It has a simple structure, low cost, and is relatively easy to install and replace.
Application scenarios:
Suitable for some low-speed railways, special lines and other occasions where the performance requirements for fasteners are not high. In some temporary railways or maintenance sections, elastic shim and clamp plates are often used as a convenient fastener choice.
